Les Anis de Flavigny

Devoted fans

A manuscript from 1591 reported that the local Anis sweets were already famous, and were given to visitors passing through the region. Thanks to each generation passing down their love for Anis to the next, our sweets have been enjoyed and shared for more than 500 years! If you’re a fan too, can we count on you to share these wonderful sweets with your friends and family?

Not just a flash in the pan…

Saint Simon recorded that Louis XIV enjoyed his favourite “anisse” sweets, even keeping them with him in a special candy purse. Madame de Sévigné (1626-1696), Madame de Pompadour (1721-1764) and the Comtesse de Ségur (1799-1874) all loved Anis de l’Abbaye de Flavigny® – and shared them with their friends. Today, more than 250,000,000 Anis sweets are enjoyed every year by grown-ups and children alike!

Loved in France… and around the world!

It might take a little effort to find the shops and businesses who sell your favourite Anis candies, but it’s worth the effort. Keep at it, and you’ll find them popping up all over – in sweetshops, bakeries, chocolatiers, gourmet food shops, wine cellars, delicatessens, regional speciality purveyors, the confectionery aisle of your supermarket, tobacconists, the occasional pharmacy, garden centres, service stations, online, delivery catalogues, funfairs and many other places.

Our Anis are even exported around the world: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UAE, Brazil, Japan, Korea, China, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, UK, Sweden, Finland, Italy, and a few countries in Africa.

Our Anis candy has found fame all over the world!
